Ingredients

For the Milkshake
  • 8 cookies Oreo cookies Regular classic Oreos work best for authenticity.
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream Go for a high-quality brand for creaminess.
  • 1 cup whole milk Substitute with almond or oat milk if dairy-free.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Use pure vanilla extract for better flavor.
  • to taste whipped cream For topping; store-bought is fine.
  • to taste chocolate syrup For drizzling over the top.
  • 2 cookies extra Oreo cookies For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Place the 8 Oreo cookies into a thick freezer bag. Gently pound with a rolling pin until they’re crushed into small bits—this should take about a minute.
  2. Add 1 cup of whole milk, followed by 2 cups of vanilla ice cream and the crushed Oreo cookies to a blender.
  3. Pulse a few times to combine, then blend on high until smooth and creamy, about 30-60 seconds.
  4. If using, add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and blend for about 10 seconds.
  5. Check consistency; if too thick, add more whole milk gradually until desired texture is reached.
  6. Pour the milkshake into two glasses, topping with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and an extra Oreo.

Notes

Make sure ice cream is partially thawed for easier blending. You can make Oreo crumbs in advance and store them in an airtight container.
